Attract Clients on Purpose by Tapping into Your Oneness with Spirit

Are you struggling to attract clients? Do you have a pattern of connecting with the wrong people at the wrong time? Ones that immediately ask to negotiate price rather than evaluate the value you provide. They don’t follow through with their commitments. Perhaps you get a perfect client here or there, but you can’t repeat it.

These are common problems for many of us as we step into our growth and expansion serving others through our businesses.

While many of us turn to marketing and spend more and more money on social media, branding, advertising, what we often don’t do is look within. Because the growth and success of our business has everything to do with our relationship with our self and less to do with the actions we take.

Embarking on life as an entrepreneur is the greatest journey in personal development, because each of us has an immediate and direct reflection of our results – in our sales numbers.

Here are a few things to do to take advantage of our universal connection with source:

  1. Know, feel and embody your oneness with the divine. Practicing and embodying faith and developing a clear understanding of what Faith means to you, is one of several ways to do this.
  2. Stop hiding in plain sight and start showing your authentic self.
  3. Recognize the role self-love plays in knowing your value. From the prices you charge to the package offerings you put together, knowing you are a valuable extension of Source, and cultivating a strong spiritual self-esteem is imperative to your success not just in business, but in all areas of your life.

Is Your Mindset Conducive to a Life of Passion and Money?

Passion is one of those intangible things that we all know when we feel it, yet isn’t always easy to describe. It’s not easy to teach someone how to be or become passionate. Becoming passionate is an individual journey and it comes more naturally to some than others.

It feels great to be around passionate people. We are drawn to them, they are magnetic! The energy is simply contagious and who doesn’t want to feel excitement and enthusiasm like someone who is passionate about who they are and what they do?

And that is why bringing passion to everything you do, especially your work and your marketing, energizes and motivates others. People are starving for that energy and will want to work with you, even if they can’t describe why. Passion is defined as a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something.

And yet so many of us struggle to obtain and keep our passion.

Passion is something we develop, not necessarily something we are born with. We have to find it for ourselves and the truth is, we don’t usually start off as experts at whatever it is. We get better because we keep at it. We make it fun.

Want to live a life of passion?

Stop waiting around for it to fall in your lap! Passion is cultivated and nurtured. Our guest on this week’s Fresh Tracks podcast, Carey Smolensky, helps folks find and achieve a life of passion. He shares his lifelong journey – which began as early as High School – and how it has manifested into the several businesses he owns today.

Passion begins with a mindset.

Your outlook on life can be one of boredom and not seeing opportunities around you, or fun and adventure around every corner. Do you spend your days doing things you love? Surrounded by people you love? If not, you need to make changes immediately.

Here are a few tips for gaining more passion in your life:

  • Don’t assume that your passion should be your job.
  • Don’t procrastinate on something you are passionate about because it doesn’t pay financially.
  • Make decisions based on what will allow you to live your life more passionately.
  • Be excited about your life and each day.
  • Surround yourself with passionate people. Let go of those nay-sayers that drag you down!

As a business owner and marketer, it’s especially important you bring your passion to what you do because the feeling of it, the energy of it, shines through to your clients and prospects. It can’t not. And it is often times the key ingredient to success (in addition to a rocking marketing funnel!). Your passion and energy are contagious.

Why ‘Just Be Yourself’ is Terrible Advice

Have you ever gotten the advice to “just be yourself”? It’s probably one of the most common bits of advice given, particularly when speaking with someone who is nervous about doing something new. And while ‘just be yourself’ sounds great, is it really good advice? Do we even know what being our self means in a moment that we’ve not experienced before?

This advice is often given when we are nervous and stepping outside of our comfort zone. The thing is when I am trying something new I don’t know who I am in that situation. I’m cutting Fresh Tracks. I’ve not grown into it yet to know who I am.

My experience is that the process of discovering who I am, particularly when doing something I haven’t done before, takes me jumping in, feeling my way around, and THEN becoming clear and confident about who I am. I don’t know who I am before experiencing this situation because I haven’t experienced it before. What if I am a mess – do I really want to just be myself in this situation?

A better piece of advice is to ‘be my best’. I may be a mess, but in my best moments I can pull myself together to give it my all.

An example I’ll share is when I started producing this newsletter 15 years ago. It was called The Small Business Buzz back then and the first several months it was terrible. It took time for me to discover my voice, narrow down what I had to say and why it was important, and share my message in a confident and powerful way.

I couldn’t be myself because I wasn’t sure who that was. I started writing and producing by taking action and doing the best I could based on what I knew to do. During the stumbling around process I discovered who I am as a writer and a publisher. I didn’t know ahead of time because I had no sense of self about it.

Letting go of who you aren’t to discover who you are

As a Fresh Tracker learning how to be yourself is part of the journey in creating Fresh Tracks. Creating those Fresh Tracks means living and being MORE of who you are right now. For most of us this is a process of uncovering who we aren’t in order to be more of who we are. Stepping into new and unknown territories is part of how we discover who we are in the first place.

Is there a difference between being myself, meaning who I am right now, and being who I choose to be? Perhaps who I choose to be is a stronger, more confidence person? Or I may try different ways of being me and see what is most comfortable and stick with that.

Don’t take the advice “just be yourself”. You can choose who you are in each moment and be authentic at the same time. Instead, I encourage you to “be your best self”.

The Universe Doesn’t Need a Contingency Plan

The Universe Doesn’t Need a Contingency Plan
And neither should you

It seems like the smart thing to do, to have a back-up plan. Juuuussst in case.

A contingency plan, or a plan B, is, in reality, holding you back. It’s you planning not to succeed. It’s giving yourself an out.

Plan BThe fact is when you make a decision, a decision with a true commitment, you close ALL the doors except the one you are choosing. There is NO plan B.

When you do have a contingency plan you hold back just a little bit. It might be so subtle no one but you knows about it, yet, that slight holding back, that prepared plan B you have in your thoughts, prevents you from going all out for your goals 100 percent.

We all make decisions every day. Some are bigger and have more effect in our life than others. We don’t make a right or wrong decision. We make a decision and then make it the right decision.

You make your decision the right one. It’s a commitment and an attitude.

I just interviewed J V Crum III, author of ‘Conscious Millionaire: Grow Your Business by Making a Difference’, who made his first million by the age of 25. He came from a poor, rural family and still managed to accomplish this huge feat. How did he accomplish this goal by such a young age?

He made the decision. And get this – he decided when he was 5 years old! He tells his story during our interview on the Fresh Tracks podcast, which I recommend you listen to – it’s amazing the power of a 5-year-old boy’s determination to always have money for a candy bar.

Your word is law and sets everything you ask for into motion

Your word is law and you must speak it with the full force and energy of the universe behind it. Your goal is to train yourself to know without a shadow of a doubt that what you declare is true and to believe that when you do make a decision or a statement, what you say happens. Because your word IS law.

However, you are not putting the full force of the universal energy behind your decisions if you have a contingency plan. That is not your word in action. That is “I will give this a try, yet, if I change my mind, if it’s too hard, if I get bored or something new and exciting comes along, I can always opt out. I’ll have this plan in place for that option.”

That attitude is not tapping into the creative force of the universe. You appear to make a decision for your greater good, but really you are just dipping your toe in the water.

If you have made contingency plans in your business the energy of that is going to come across in your marketing and in your sales results. It doesn’t matter how hard you try, or how hard you work, that energy of ‘I’m heading for plan B if this doesn’t work out’ is always going to be there.

How might a plan B look?

  • I’ll try this for six months. Then I’ll go get a job if I don’t make it.
  • I’ll pay for this a little bit at a time – even though I can pay in full. This way if I change my mind I’m not out the money.
  • Only doing the parts of a training course you like
  • I’ll keep working until I have my income replaced
  • I’m going to stay married (in unhealthy relationship) until the right person comes along.

Your homework – eliminate all your contingency plans. Put yourself into creating your Fresh Tracks full force. Your success, and your knowledge that you CAN create whatever you set your mind to, depends on it.
