Love is the most powerful energy in the universe. We have love for ourselves, which is a powerful force. There is also a love that we generate when we are in love with another. The two of you generate a new, powerful energy force. With intention and focus, it can do immeasurable good in the world.
I work with many couples, both in premarital counseling and in couples counseling. Relationship counseling is one way to prioritize your desire to form a lasting, strong and open relationship with each other. This works lays a strong foundation for your relationship to grow.
Taking conscious relationships to the next level, can you imagine that as your love for each other grows, your love generates its own energetic force. A power in itself that you can use to do good in the world.
The French priest, mystic, and teacher Pierre Teilhard De Chardin taught that when we love someone, we are not two parts made whole. We are whole on our own. And we are more than a support for each other; we are stronger together, so we can be our own best selves.
Together, what we do is generate a third energy. A powerful and forceful energy of love. In a loving relationship, we can use our energy to have conscious conversations, such as “What can we create together?” “How can we use our love for good?” “What difference can we make in transforming the world?”
Imagine that your love is an energetic force that we haven’t even begun to measure. Similar to wind, water, electricity, gas, and oil. When we form a love relationship with another, we have the opportunity to consciously direct this energy in a new and powerful way.
Isn’t that a wonderful, conscious place to live and grow from in your relationship? Wouldn’t it be amazing if all of us had the wherewithal to come together and focus on something forward-thinking outside of our relationship with each other?
Teilhard De Chardin said, “Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.”
