What Good Will You Do With Your Love?

Love is the most powerful energy in the universe. We have love for ourselves, which is a powerful force. There is also a love that we generate when we are in love with another. The two of you generate a new, powerful energy force. With intention and focus, it can do immeasurable good in the world. 

I work with many couples, both in premarital counseling and in couples counseling. Our desire is to get to know yourself so that you can then share that with each other. This builds a strong foundation for your relationship to grow. Understanding that as your love for each other grows, your love generates its own energetic force. It is an evolution. 

The French priest, mystic and teacher Pierre Teilhard De Chardin taught that when we love someone, we are not two parts made whole. And we are in fact more than a support for each other and stronger together so we can be our own best self. 

In fact, what we do is, together, generate a third energy. A powerful and forceful energy of love. In a loving relationship we can use our love energy to focus on things like, “What can we create together?” “How can we use our love for good in this world?” 

Pierre Teilhard De Chardin taught that love is an energetic force that we haven’t even begun to measure. Similar to wind, water, electricity, gas and oil. 

Isn’t that a wonderful, conscious place to live and grow from in your relationship? Wouldn’t it be amazing if all of us had the wherewithal to come together and focus on something forward-thinking outside of your relationship with each other? 

Teilhard De Chardin said, “Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.”
